He was starting to become desperate. He couldn’t remember having been this fond of lattes in 2000, but now he was feeling the need keenly. He was sitting crosslegged on the bed, braiding his hair, wanting a latte and feeling very sorry for himself, when Remy came into the room.
Jake looked up and frowned. “Where have you been?”
Instead of answering, Remy gave him a cup, beaming and looking very self-satisfied.

“I have milk and sugar too,” said Remy.

*grins* Thank you. And, yeah, there's a reason I like Nicieza so much. I think I dimly recall an interview with him where he said something in the line of; "Jake wasn't supposed to be in this many issues, but he and Remy seemed to have this chemistry which both surprised and pleased me." Or, well, something like that. I think the plans were actually to make Sek or Zoe Ishihara the recurring character Jake became.
The relationship was full of those little moments: Jake feeling sorry for himself and neglected right up until the point where Remy revealled that he'd been paying far more attention than he was letting on ... Pity we've not seen Courier around of late, at least as far as I'm aware.
Not as I'm aware either, and I like to think I'd find out about a Courier appearance in a comic somehow. Possibly through psychic connection, I don't know. Just. Somehow. *grins*
